Chica Momma is dedicated to using fresh, organic foods and supporting local farmers whenever possible. All of our food is unprocessed, dairy-free, gluten-free, and wheat-free. We soak and sprout our nuts and seeds before using them in recipes and we refrain from using agave syrup. We at Chica Momma also practice what we preach! We believe being active and eating unprocessed, wholesome foods is critical to a healthy body and mind. Founder and CEO of Chica Momma, Jessica, has been weight training for the past ten years and fills her time with scuba diving, rock climbing, and dancing.
She ensures that her three children eat healthy and balanced so that they many continue the same patterns as they get older. She was captivated by raw foods a couple of years ago and realized she did not need meat or whey protein to sustain muscle mass while weight training.
Now employing raw in 70 percent of her diet after experiencing substantial health benefits, she feels revived and much lighter — ”Your body is your temple, so take care of it!” Jessica received raw food certification after having trained in New York City under one of the top raw chefs in the city. She now shares her passion for health with others by creating exciting arrays of delicious raw, vegan dishes.
